Long Weekend

Happy Monday, lovelies!

Brandon and I took off on Friday and it was the most heavenly long weekend.

We moved back home on Thursday, and while we have concrete floors, no TV {just our Blu-Ray player} and our house is disgusting, it was so great to be home. Our sweet little boy missed us so much, and we missed him even more!

On our day off, we slept late, ran some errands and saw "Sky Fall" {SO. RIDICULOUSLY. GOOD.} at Grapevine Mills Mall. And can I please say? That mall has an Ann Taylor Loft outlet. Who knew that even existed? Not this girl!

We also found a J. Crew outlet and I may or may not have stocked up on Christmas presents for my brothers. :)

After the movie, we drove over to the Hobby Lobby in Southlake to buy our first {normal-sized} Christmas tree. They were having a 50% off Christmas decor sale, so our pre-lit, 8 ft. tall Christmas tree was only $249! I was shocked.

And we also bought Oliver his first stocking, since this is his first Christmas with us! He kept laying down on the ground next to it...I think he likes it!

On Saturday, we slept late again. I went to my co-worker's son's second birthday party {Happy Birthday, Cooper!} and Brandon went with our friends to the gun range.

On Sunday, we literally laid in bed all. day. long.

When we first got married, I dreamed of doing stuff like that: just resting, relaxing, reading and watching TV, only getting up to get food or go to the bathroom.

And that's exactly what we did.

We watched the entire HBO miniseries "John Adams," had lunch at La Madeleine, napped and leftover Halloween candy may or may not have been involved.

The contractor will be at our house in just a bit to start repairing the dry wall, replacing the cabinet kick boards, etc., and they're *supposed* to be starting on my new wood floor tomorrow...but keep your fingers crossed on that one, because our contractor moves at a glacial pace

Happy week, y'all! Only six more days and I'm off for Thanksgiving "break!"
