31 Days of Back-to-Basics Blogging: Day 4

I'm not going to lie to you: yesterday was hard. It's been a major crisis week in client-land, and I'm completely, absolutely worn the heck out.

Work was rough, and I still worked more when I came home. Brandon and I fought...over the Internet speed in our house. Like, we're talking full-blown, me ugly crying, no-sleep-because-I-was-so-upset-and-stressed kind of fight. Over Internet speed. Really?!

But here we are. And Brandon and I are 100 percent fine now. {I'm sure it helps that I sent Tiff's Treats to his office, too. Ha!}

But this is 31 days of honest, Back-t0-Basics blogging, and I said I'd share my heart and our day-to-day lives, so I am. And sometimes our lives {and marriage} aren't very pretty.

When I got home from work yesterday, I found an awesome salon near our house that sells my Aveda products: Volumizing Tonic and Pure Abundance Hair Potion. They even gave me a coupon for $10 off my next haircut. Score!

Brandon replaced our nasty disposal that wasn't working when we bought the house {stupid seller}, and I chose to sit on the couch with a glass of wine. Sometimes you just need to do that.

I made this chili recipe for supper, which was actually very good. I was kind of skeptical at first, but it really was yummy. And it made a ton

I've got this in the Crock Pot for supper tonight, and after we eat, we're going over to our friends' Brandon and Kimmie's house to watch the Rangers game. Our plans are to lay low for the entire weekend and just enjoy our first full, non-working weekend at the house.

Happy Weekending!

  1. Ugh I loathe nights like that and for some reason Tyler sleeping like a baby while I'm still all worked out make me even angrier. Men! Glad the disposal is fixed and I hope y'all have an amazing weekend!!
