My sweet Maw-Maw passed away this morning at the age of 92.
She was a sweet, sweet lady that could cook you under the table, and I have precious memories of picking blueberries at their camp in Hillister. I crave her beef tips with rice and fried okra.
She and my great-grandfather were married for more than 70 years, which is such an accomplishment.
I'm so thankful that I was privileged enough to know her, as well as my husband and brothers and sister.
We'll miss you, Maw-Maw! I know you're feeling no pain now and you're singing with the angels and getting to meet your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
I keep singing the lines of the song, "This Little Light of Mine" by Addison Road:
One day there will be no more pain
And we will finally see Jesus' face
So until then, I'm gonna try
To brave the dark and let my little light shine
