What I'm Loving...Thursday? + My Week

Oh, where do I even begin? This really has been a whirlwind week and I'll be very excited to sleep in a bit this weekend.

I'm sitting here trying to rack my brain as to what happened this week {because it was a lot!} so that I can properly document it for you. And can I tell you something? For this girl that loves routine, this week was the complete opposite of routine!

On Monday, we had some major client "stuff" happen, and I was slammed all day long.

That afternoon, my brother called me with some sad news: one of my Dad's friends and co-workers passed away at the young age of 56. Unfortunately, my Dad was the one that found him, which absolutely broke my heart. If you feel so inclined, please pray for Paul's family (he wasn't married, so my Dad actually had to get in contact with some of them). Also, please pray for my Dad. I can't imagine finding someone that has been my friend and co-worker for a number of years.

Also, Brandon's crown fell out in three pieces, so that was kind of the icing on the cake for me.

Brandon landed a giant account at work {woo hoo!}, so we celebrated with a glass of wine after work. Later, we noticed that a ton of food trucks were set up in the parking lot of our area's country club, so we walked over and had supper there. The weather was amazing and it was so fun to eat outside from fun food trucks.

PS: The whoopie pies were amazing.

On Wednesday, I went to my Little's bridal shower at Breadwinner's. She's getting married over Memorial Day Weekend and I am so excited for her! It was fun getting to see some of my sorority sisters that I hadn't seen since college.

We had wine, champagne, cupcakes and yummy food {I ordered the shrimp & grits, yum!} and had a fabulous time celebrating sweet Lucy!

Thursday {today}, Brandon had diversity training at the Renaissance Hotel all day long; he texted me all day long telling me how bored he was. Although, I don't blame him.

I had a dentist appointment at 8 a.m. {no cavities -- love that electric toothbrush!}.

Now I'm rushing off to DFW Airport for an event walkthrough with my client. Of course it's the day that it's supposed to reach 90 degrees and the event is outside. ;)

It's been a busy week, that's for sure. I'm sure you found this blog post riveting, but it's a nice way for me to recap my week and then look back to see what we did.

Happy almost-Friday!
