Weekend.

Whew, it's already Sunday!

This time of the year is always so busy, so I apologize for not posting as often as I would like.

As I mentioned Thursday, Friday was my team's biggest event of the year, and it went fabulously! I traveled on Friday afternoon to San Antonio and Killeen/Ft. Hood for two of the events. I got home late, so we watched The Help {even Brandon loved it!} and I made this. Such a nice, relaxing night.

Saturday, we slept in and I ran errands all. day. long. Not kidding: nails, grocery store, and I even braved NorthPark. My parents' Christmas is this weekend {since we'll be in Southlake on Christmas Day with my in-law's} so I was seriously in crunch time mode and had to finish about 50 percent of our shopping.

I even wrapped everything today! Check out our tree now (!!!):

Saturday night was Brandon's company Christmas party at the Hilton Anatole.

Hello, obligatory car pic.

I loved the ceiling in the atrium!

And of course, obligatory couples' pic in the atrium.

We refused to go into the party until we watched the Heisman announcement. We waited for what seemed like hours (and sat next to annoying LSU fans who were rooting for "Honey Badger"...what a name...)

And finally...

I'm not kidding when I tell you that I cried. In the hotel bar. I was {and still am} so, so excited for him and for all of Baylor Nation.

So of course I had to order these T-shirts today for Brandon and me! I love them and seriously will wear it all the time.

{Is it sad that I'm getting teary right now just thinking about how proud I am of RG3?}

Anyway, our friends Justin and Missy {Justin works with Brandon} got us both hotel rooms at the Renaissance Hotel for a super good price. Missy works for Marriot and got to use her employee and holiday discount. I'm not kidding when I tell you that we paid $10 for our extremely nice room. Out of control!

We slept in this morning and ventured back home for breakfast tacos at Rusty Taco. They are amazing! Please go get them if you have a chance.

{Laura and Angelica, they remind me of Lolita's!}

As I mentioned earlier, I wrapped Christmas gifts all day while watching a Law & Order: SVU marathon. {Such a random combination!}

Tonight was our Sunday School class' Christmas party and White Elephant/Tacky Wedding gift exchange. Of course, in typical 'me' fashion, I forgot to bring my camera out. But, we had so much fun!

Here's the little "treasure" we came home with:

Of course, you can't say bad things about it because it's scripture, but it sure is a "treasure," as my mom says.

I hope you had a good weekend! Hopefully I'll be back to regular blogging this week. :)
