Weekend Wrap-up: Husband's Birthday

We had a fabulous weekend celebrating Brandon's 26th birthday! Thanks to all of our friends and family who called, texted or e-mailed to tell Brandon 'happy birthday!'

It's rainy and cold here in Dallas {feels a lot like Seattle or London}, so we cozied up by the fire on Friday night and all day Saturday. I love that we have a fireplace!

Brandon and I moved a bunch of stuff from his old office to his new office on Saturday afternoon, and then ran a bunch of errands...getting home just in time for the Baylor-UT game.

And, unless you don't watch TV at all, Baylor won! 48-24 in the pouring rain. Baylor is undefeated at home...I love it!

Saturday night, we celebrated Brandon's birthday with dinner at Kona and a bit of Christmas shopping.

{We were supposed to go to Tillman's, but changed our minds at the last minute. Typical!}

We absolutely love Kona's avocado egg rolls. I'm not kidding, we devour them every.single.time.

And of course I had to tell them that it was his birthday, so they brought him out a red velvet cupcake. Yum!

Happy 26th Birthday, Brandon! I'm so glad you were born on this day 26 years ago! I love you!

This picture is just for grins. Wasn't he a precious little boy!?

I so hope our babies get his blond hair and dark skin! {Yes, he had blond hair as a baby!}

Today we skipped church {shh...} and slept in until 10:30 a.m. I don't know about y'all, but in our household, what the birthday person wants, the birthday person gets!

So, Brandon requested cinnamon rolls and coffee for breakfast...which he got, of course.

Then we watched It's a Wonderful Life. Can you believe that I'd never seen it before today?! Who am I?

Then, after wasting an entire afternoon doing absolutely nothing, we found out that Baylor is going to the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29! Yay!!!

And, take a look at this:

Be still my heart.

The birthday boy also requested a special dinner: pork tenderloin, corn casserole, loaded mashed potatoes and of course, cherry cream pie! {A man after my own heart.}

We're full and happy, and can't wait until Dec. 29. Sic 'Em, Bears!
