Monday, Monday.

I've officially passed my sickness on to Brandon, so we're just a sick bunch around these parts. We went to bed at 8:30 p.m. yesterday...don't judge us. :)

I've had a colleague here from Japan for the past two weeks, and she's leaving today to visit our Austin office. Before she left today, she gave me lots of Japanese candy.

Check it out:

On another note, I mentioned yesterday that I'm going to New York for work tomorrow.
I'm flying into LaGuardia and cabbing it over to my hotel at JFK Airport, then staffing an event at JFK, then departing from there for DFW that afternoon. So, you don't have to be jealous! ;)

This will be my little home away from home for the next couple days!

I am excited to go, however. It's always fun to travel for work, and I'm very thankful that I have a job that lets me do that.

And can I tell you about how funny God is? I was told on Friday that I'd be traveling on Tuesday, spending the night that night, and then coming home on Wednesday. So, of course, I had to check the schedule. Well, there was no flight from JFK-DFW or LaGuardia-DFW for Wednesday when I needed to come home...they all stopped around noon. And I was really worried about it.

I am a worrier, and I always, always expect the worst. Someone didn't answer their phone while driving? Must've been an accident. Things like that.

Anyway, the lack of a flight the day I was supposed to return home was on my mind all weekend. And even last night when I was trying to go to sleep. And so I prayed about it. It was all I knew to do.

I just prayed that God would take that worry and make it His own, because, as it says in the Bible: "Cast all your anxiety on Him, for He cares for you." - 1 Peter 5:7. I prayed and prayed, and even told God that I knew how stupid it was that I was worried about this! I prayed until I fell asleep.

And you know what? This morning when I went to get my ticketing done? There was a flight for 3:35 p.m. from JFK-DFW...that was not there on Friday.

I was elated. Thank you, Lord! Isn't it funny how He works?! It's so true: Cast ALL your anxiety on Him because He cares for YOU!!!

So, I'll be flying tomorrow and Wednesday. Please keep me in your prayers.
