Thursday Brain Dump.

I am so tired today, so my apologies for a "brain dump" post.
  • Like I said, I'm tired today. I'm not kidding when I say that I dropped the soap in the shower no less than four times, and dropped my razor twice. If that's a sign of the day to come, I need to go home and go to bed.
  • We had thismuch coffee left this morning. Not a good morning to be {almost} out of coffee. Looks like I'll be making a trip to Tom Thumb after work because I cannot do without coffee.
  • I cannot for the life of me get this picture to turn, but this is what I saw when waiting in the jury selection room on Monday. Talk about hands-free talking! And sitting next to him was a guy that decided that the plumber's crack (and no undies) is nice attire for jury duty.
  • We're having this for supper tonight. But I was too lazy to start it in the Crock Pot this morning, so I'm going home at lunch to do it. It says to let it sit for five hours...well, if I start it at noon, and I get home around six...looks like dinner will be served when we walk in the door!
  • I really should have ironed the dress I have on today. Oh, well.
  • As I was driving out of our apartment complex today, a Dallas police officer was sitting in his car right in the middle of the area I needed to exit. As I pulled closer, I noticed he was holding his radar gun out the window. I decided to go ahead and just ask if I could go around him. He looked at me like I had three eyes. Better safe than sorry, right?
  • I bought this lamp yesterday at Target for my desk. I think I've mentioned it before, but I sit with our IT guy who hates the sun and keeps the blinds closed 24/7. I call him Dracula. Well, I needed some sort of light over here, so I bought the desk lamp. I think it brightens up the area a bit, don't you?
  • I am going to see "The Help" this weekend and I'm honestly really excited. It's one of my favorite books, and I heard the movie follows the book almost exactly.
  • I had a really bad attitude last night. Brandon went out with a few work buddies because someone got promoted and he didn't get home until 9 p.m. I was so frustrated {not at him, I just was not in a good mood!} and totally took it out on him last night. My reasoning? I had done two loads of laundry, cleaned the bathrooms, fixed supper and done yoga...and he didn't say 'thank you.' We went to bed mad at each other, which I hate. I'm telling you, marriage is not always flowers and sunshine! :)
  • I sat down on my couch last night to drink a glass of my mom's "homemade" sangria and had made up my mind that I was not going to do my yoga DVD. I even Tweeted that I wasn't going to do it. Well, I couldn't even enjoy the dang glass of sangria because I felt so guilty that I wasn't doing my workout. So I did it. And I felt better. But seriously, dang you, yoga.

  • It's so ridiculously hot in Dallas. I mean, I sweat just walking the five feet to my car every morning. 40 days straight of over 100 degree temperatures and no rain. Makes me sweat just thinking about it.
  • The Rockettes were on The Today Show this morning. In August. Don't get me wrong, I love Christmas and I love the Rockettes, but I cannot even begin to think about hot chocolate, Christmas trees and and presents when it's 85 degrees at 8 a.m.
  • I'm trying to let my hair grow out, but it's in that weird in-between stage where it's not long, but it's not short, either. It's right below my collar bones and it's annoying.
  • I have misplaced my chalkboard paint in our less than 1,000 square foot apartment. Seriously. How do you lose something in a place so small!? I looked everywhere for it and cannot find it. If I accidentally threw it away, I'm going to be so mad at myself.
Okay, I think that's enough "brain dumping!" Hope everyone has a great Thursday!
