weekend.

I have no "real" pictures from this weekend for you. I know, I know. And I'm sorry. I really am. It was just one of those lazy weekends and the last thing I wanted to do was grab my iPhone. So, you're getting weekend pictures via Pinterest. Almost as good, no?

Friday:
Hubs beat me home (!!!) and we had an early supper {and a few margs} at our favorite hole-in-the-wall, Desperado's. I'm sure by now you've seen me write about this place...but y'all have got to go. Get their house margarita and Desperado's Tacos and your tummy will thank you.

Saturday:
We slept in, and lazed around all morning. Brandon had to go into work for a bit, so I made our weekly meal calendar and went to the grocery store while he was gone. Thanks to coupons, I only spent $73 at the store for an entire week's worth of meals! (I usually spend around $100, so this was huge!) It's the small things.

When he got back, we went looking for him some fishing shirts and then {totally his idea} we went to NorthPark to do some shopping! I got the most precious dress and pencil skirt at LOFT and he got some amazing things at J. Crew thanks to their summer sale.

Since we were at NorthPark {and were starving}, we decided to eat a late lunch at Kona. You can never go wrong with their avocado egg rolls and sushi!

All that shopping spurred a little clean out of hubs' closet, and then we watched movies on TV all afternoon. It was so nice just doing nothing that Brandon looked at me and said, "Don't you feel like we should be doing something?" I laughed and responded with, "Um, no."

Late that evening we decided we were hungry again (and I decided I wasn't in the mood to cook), so we grabbed some quick tacos at Rusty Taco

We got in bed and watched SNL reruns...Justin Timberlake is so hilarious...and went to sleep.

Sunday:
We went to Sunday School, then came home and grilled out for lunch: chicken, broccoli and brown rice. I love meals at home on Sundays!

Then, because I was exhausted from doing nothing {or perhaps just still tired from the week?} I took a huge two-hour nap. Brandon even joined me and he never takes naps. Ever. It was amazing -- I love naps -- and I wondered out loud why I hadn't taken one in forever. It was so awesome and reminded me of Sunday afternoons as a child:

Church, lunch, nap, church. Lovely.

Hope y'all had a great weekend! I'm off to relax on the couch the rest of the day and make a yummy dinner tonight.

PS: Continue to pray for the people of Oslo.
