I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend! It's been absolutely gorgeous here in Dallas this weekend (70 degrees in May!) and we've enjoyed it to a "T."
Y'all, the movie is mildly inappropriate, but insanely hilarious. Brandon and I both were laughing so hard we were crying. If you're into Judd Apatow movies (Knocked Up, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Step Brothers), then you will find it funny.
While Brandon was at the pool, I ran errands. (After last weekend's sunburn, I was not in the mood to lay out, thankyouverymuch.)
After a trip to Bed, Bath & Beyond for some travel-size products for my upcoming trip to Washington, D.C. (we have the best BB&B!) and the grocery store, I stopped off for a Sonic Route 44 vanilla Diet Dr Pepper. A spring afternoon just isn't complete without one!
Saturday evening, we met my grandparents at the Meyerson Symphony Center for dinner and then to see Frankie Valli.
The Meyerson is absolutely beautiful and reminded me of the New York Public Library with the stairs and slate-colored walls. We had dinner at Opus, which was wonderful, and then went to the "Pops" performance.
I wasn't quite sure who Frankie Valli was or what he sang, but as soon as he started performing, I knew who he was! He sang, "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Sherry," "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You," and the opening song in the movie, "Grease." (...Grease is the word, it's the word...)
We had so much fun, and it was awesome watching my grandparents jam out to someone they listened to when they were our age.
Since we got home really late and this is our last weekend in May to be in Dallas, we skipped church this morning and slept in really late.
Brandon made us waffles for breakfast...well, I should probably say "brunch"...and we're spending the day preparing for the busy next week ahead.
I head to Washington, D.C. for work on Tuesday afternoon, spend the night there Tuesday night, go to an awards ceremony on Wednesday, leave D.C. on Wednesday afternoon, go to work on Thursday, have nail and spray tan appointments on Thursday night, and take off on Friday to drive to Ruston for Emily's wedding, which is Saturday night. Since Ruston is pretty far away, we're staying Saturday night there and coming back to Dallas on Sunday afternoon.
Since I knew I'd be exhausted on Sunday-Monday, I took Monday off so that I can unpack, do laundry, go to the grocery store and just be home for one day. (I'm such a homebody.) And then, we turn around and take a 1/2 day on Friday and aregoing to my parents' for Memorial Day. Talk about busy!
I hope y'all had a great weekend! My blogging will be sporadic this week, but I'll have lots of updates when I get back!
