apparently i forget to take pictures.

I hope you all had a fabulous long weekend! We did, and I'm so thankful for the rest and relaxation the weekend brought.

While we had a ton of fun, I am terrible at taking pictures, so while it looks like we only did one thing all weekend {according to my lack of photos}, I promise we did not! :)

Hubs and I took half days and met for lunch at Taverna. After a quick trip to Target, we parked ourselves on the couch for the remainder of the day (leftovers from lunch, anyone?) and it was wonderful.

We met my brother-in-law and sister-in-law at their house and went to the HP Byron Nelson Championship. Can I please just say that that was the most I have ever sweated IN MY LIFE? It was fun (especially the two hours we got to sit in my sister-in-law's company box with air conditioning, hallelujah), but needless to say, the boys will be leaving us at home next year. I think the most fun part for me was watching the "Dallas Plastic Surgery" crowd. Seriously, y'all, I felt like I was in a Brooks Brothers/J. Crew catalog all day long. Wedges (on a golf course, what?), floofy dresses, big hats...I was appalled.

...and here's what happens when you only put sunscreen on your shoulders and back. Seriously?! I know better than this. All I can say is: re-apply, re-apply, re-apply. I am so mad at myself! Thankfully, it looks way worse than it feels.

While my sweet hubs was playing golf, he booked me a massage for that afternoon! I was beyond excited because the past two weeks have been insane. Bless the poor massuse's heart, she was like, "Wow, I thought this would be a lot easier, but girl! You have knots!"
Needless to say, best massage of my life.

Later that afternoon, I made Sprinkles cupcakes for my mother-in-law's annual Memorial Day party. Seriously, I thought it was going to be the typical open-the-package-add-one-egg-and-some-oil. Oh no. This was like, using a mixer, confectioner's sugar, tons of butter, egg whites...! I kept telling Brandon that these were a labor of love. :)

(Oh, and please excuse the lack of 'buttons' on the three cupcakes in the middle. I had enough batter and icing left over to make three extras, but they only give you 12 decorative buttons!)

We attended my in-law's annual Memorial Day party. Hamburgers, hot dogs, sun, food, enough desserts to last two weeks and good friends...needless to say, I am sunned, full and sleepy! Back to yoga (and the diet today). Womp womp.

I'm so excited, also, that one of my bests, Emily and her {brand new!} husband Austin have finally and officially moved to Dallas! They're coming over tonight to watch the first game of the NBA Finals with us and I couldn't be more excited. Go Mavs!
