This weekend we traveled to my hometown for a wedding for a girl I've been friends with since I was born.
I was a bridesmaid, my sister was a junior bridesmaid, my grandfather officiated the ceremony and my mom was the wedding coordinator at the church, so it really was a family affair!
Hubs and I both took half days on Friday and traveled south for the weekend. Friday evening was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, and Saturday was the wedding.
I spent all day at the church on Saturday, while hubs trained for the 10K he has coming up soon, as well as shot guns with my dad and brothers. (We're from East Texas, y'all!)
The wedding was very nice and we had fun eating yummy food and dancing at the reception. We didn't get to bed until 1 a.m.! Since we were all so sleepy and had a long weekend, we slept really late today, and then my dad and mom cooked amazing hamburgers before we headed out.
It was a fun (but very short!) weekend. Hubs and I have been busy since we got back home grocery shopping, unpacking, getting ready for tomorrow and cooking supper. The Pioneer Woman's "Pasta alla Marlboro Man" is simmering on the stove. Mmmm.
And a couple of photos for you:
Hubs and me (wearing his suit jacket because it was freezing!) at the reception.
Sissy and me (in our matching purple dresses) at the reception.
