Duh, The Bachelor.

I thought long and hard about whether or not I was going to post about last night's finale of The Bachelor.

Instead of me boring you to death with long paragraphs, you're getting my bullet point thoughts.

  • Brad is from my hometown. That's neat.
  • I cried when Brad proposed to Emily. Shut up.
  • Then I noticed that he was reading his proposal from something in his hand. I stopped crying. How romantic, Brad.
  • I really, really wanted Emily to win all season long. However, after I watched her on After the Final Rose, she seems really immature.
  • I don't want to believe it, but I can't stop reading about how Emily and Brad are no longer together (again) and how she never was engaged to Ricky Hendrick.
  • How did she get that big giant house? She's my age. I totally thought that Ricky left her some giant life insurance policy and that's how she got it. If they weren't engaged, then who knows.
  • I never feel bad for the runner-up chick when I watch these finales, but last night my heart just broke for Chantal and her prom updo and big feather on her dress.  Being told "you're not the one" (on national television, even) totally sucks. Bless her heart. She handled it really well, though.
  • I am not a fan of Ashley H. and I'm not happy that she's the next Bachelorette. However, I will now have Monday nights free to watch Gossip Girl, so thank you ABC.
  • Emily, if you're mad that he made out with other girls, then please don't go on The Bachelor. It's like Sister Wives meets Bachelor Pad. I understand that Monday's suck because you have to watch it, but sister, he picked you and put a massive Neil Lane diamond on your finger so "hesh ep" (as my great-grandmother used to say).
  • When Neil Lane walked through the door to Brad's hotel room, I totally thought it was his therapist and moaned out loud, "Not again!"
Anyone else have thoughts on last night's finale? I know you do!

  1. Was it just me or was the After the Rose super awkward?? Emily seemed totally different on the ATR than on the show.

I'm not a fan of Ashley H. I say I won't watch it, but let's be honest, I probably will. My Monday night television viewing is out of control. My DVR usually won't even record all the shows I want to watch on Mondays. :-)

  2. you took the words out of my mouth! especially the part about Brad reading the proposal, sick and Emily being upset that Brad made out with other girls. Really?? Have you not watched the past 14 seasons...

The only thing I'd like to add- I cried like a baby when Brad's family got to Cape Town. Always gets me to see a man break down like that. He must have really missed them!!
